We will temporarily be unable to issue the temporary boating license to those born after Jan. 1, 1988. However, these participants can get their permanent boating license by logging on to www.boatus.org and taking the open book test there. Upon passing the exam (80 percent) they will receive a permanent laminated copy of their license within a few weeks. If these participants are unable to receive their permanent boating license in time, they can print out a copy of their exam completion and use it as a temporary license. Sorry for any inconveniences and we are doing everything in our power to issue temporary licenses as soon as possible. |
