Florida Temporary Boating License

We offer temporary boating licenses for anyone born after Jan. 1, 1988. The license can be obtained by passing an on-site exam. These participants can also get their permanent boating license by logging on to www.boatus.org and taking the open book test there. Upon passing the exam (80 percent) they will receive a permanent laminated copy of their license within a few weeks. If these participants are unable to receive their permanent boating license in time, they can print out a copy of their exam completion and use it as a temporary license.
